Handmade toy-dog
In december my sons class had a christmas stocking with small presents for all the kids - one for each day - and instead of buying something in a store, I decided to make something.
I made a cute dog - Oscar - and when he was picked by one of the boys in my sons class, he made the new owner did a little dance in the classroom. Anton - my son - told me, that Oscar was the most popular gift the whole December.... That just tells me, that children appreciate when we make something for them and it is great to receive something unique....

I love the shape of little Oscar, and it does not surprise me that the little boy danced for joy when he got him. So many times nowadays we spend money on gifts instead of time, but I think a handmade gift, made and given with love, will always be appreciated. I'm going to try to make more for the children I know in future.
